外文摘要：The essay argues that decategorization could bethe cause of Chinese learners’ overuse of nominalization.As the result of decategorization, though it belongs to noun inits morphological form, nominalization inherits both semanticmeanings from its original verb/adjective on the one side andthat of noun on the other side and because of this, it goes withspecial syntactic usage. Chinese learners have problems withthe match of the form and the meaning duri ng the acquisition ofdecategorization and lead to the overuse of nominalization.
