外文摘要:This study investigated the effects of dietary tryptophan supplementation on the alleviation of soybean meal-induced enteritis (SBMIE) in a hybrid giant tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × E. lanceolatus ), a carnivorous marine fish. The experimental groups were fed soybean meal-based diet (SBM), fish meal-based diet (FM), and SBM diets supplemented with different L-tryptophan levels (0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, 1.0%) named as TRP1, TRP2, TRP3, TRP4 and TRP5. A total of 840 hybrid grouper with an initial average body weight of 21.17 ± 0.02 g were randomly assigned to seven experimental groups, each with three biological replicates of 40 fishs per replicate. The results demonstrated that 0.4% tryptophan supplementation (TRP2) significantly improved weight gain rate (WGR) and specific growth rate (SGR), reduced feed conversion ratio (FCR), and mitigated intestinal histopathological damage (e.g., reduced mucosal folds and inflammatory cell infiltration) (P ? 2026, The Authors.
