中文摘要：马氏珠母贝（Pinctada martensii）是我国南方养殖的一种重要经济贝类，长期以来一直是我国主要的海水育珠的主要贝类，用马氏珠母贝育珠是广东、广西和海南沿海部分地区经济发展的支柱性产业。近年来，我国海水珍珠的质量出现明显滑坡，严重地削弱了在国际市场上的竞争力。为提高海水珍珠质量和在国际市场上的竞争力，国内科技工作者已经进行了大量的研究工作，这些工作主要包括对马氏珠母贝养殖群体性状的改良、育珠技术的优化和海水珍珠形成机理的研究。

外文摘要：Differences in morphological traits of the yellow shell color selected line and cultivated stock of pearl oyster Pinctada martensii were evaluated by both t-test and principal component analysis. The morphological traits analyzed in the present study were involved in shell length, shell height, shell width, shell weight, total weight, soft tissue weight, shell width index, shell weight index and condition index. It was found that there were significant differences in shell length, shell weight index and condition index between the yellow shell color line and cultivated stock （P〈0.05）. However, no significant difference in the other six traits between the two stocks was observed （P〉0.05）. Four principal components were constructed in the principal component analysis. The contributory ratio of each principal component was 33.70%, 26.1%, 19.60% and 13.80%, respectively. The cumulative contributory ratio was 93.2%. There were evident differences in the second principal component between the two stocks on basis of scatter diagram for the first and the second principal components, which was consistent with the results of t-test on morphological traits of the two stocks.
