中文摘要:当今英语作为国际交流的工具被广泛使用,但由于受传统的跨文化交际能力培养模式的影响,却过于理想化,缺乏现实性,且师生的自主性受到限制,因而具有一定的局限性。EIL语境下跨文化交际能力的培养模式主要包括三个方面的内容:一是以开放宽容的态度对待各种变体,二是建立多维文化视域,三是培养对异域文化的敏感性、宽容性和灵活性。

外文摘要:Nowadays English is widely used in the world as an international communication language. This article questions the validity of the pedagogic model based on the native speaker based notion of intercultural communicative competence. The model is found to be unrealistic and constrained in relation to English as an International Language (EIL). A new pedagogic model is urgently needed to accommodate the case of English as a means of international and intercultural communication. A tolerant attitude towards varieties, multi-cultural views and sensitivity and flexibility to different cultures are needed. As such, it would aim at the realization of intercultural communicative competence.
