外文摘要:Dietary protein is the most critical and costly nutrient in aquafeeds, and optimizing its inclusion level is essential for improving growth performance while maintaining physiological health and reducing nitrogen waste. However, the protein requirement of juvenile E. tetradactylum, an emerging marine aquaculture species, remains poorly defined. This study investigated the effects of graded dietary protein levels (39–54%) on growth performance, feed utilization, metabolic responses, antioxidant status, liver histology, digestive enzyme activities and intestinal microbiota of juvenile E. tetradactylum during a 70-day feeding trial. Growth performance exhibited a typical dose–response pattern, with fish fed the 45% protein diet showing significantly improved specific growth rate, survival rate and feed efficiency compared with other treatments (P ? 2026, The Authors.
