中文摘要："父亲"这个名词不仅仅是一个称谓,而是让人们怀着非常复杂的感情去言说的、带有文化意义的一个所指。父亲是生命的来源,代表着初始和尊严,让人敬重;父亲又是权威、秩序,让人总想打破和超越。父亲成了扑朔迷离的人物。父亲是谁?父亲的身份是如何确认的?我们试图追溯远古,从图腾感生神话那里寻找父亲的最初踪影,并提出一个大胆的假设——图腾是可能的父亲。图腾是远古的人们因对女性生育现象不解而主观臆想出来的一个神秘他物,是基于血缘问题而产生的文化意义上的父亲。父亲的身份最后慢慢得以确认则得力于父亲与母亲争夺生育权斗争的胜利和父亲经济地位的确立。可以说,父亲身份的确认是文化学和经济学的必然。

外文摘要：“Father” the noun is not merely a title, but a reference that people usher with complicated emotion and strong cultural meaning. Father is source of life, representing origin and dignity, a respectable title ; father is also authority and order, waiting to be broken or go beyond. Father is orphic, and who is he？ How to identify his identity？ We attempt to trace back to the ancient, discover his primary sign from inductively - born totemism and mythology, and bring boldly forward a hypothesis totem might be conceivable father. Totem was a mysterious symbol that ancient people imagined for they were confused about woman＇s bearing, which created kinship - based father in cultural sense. The identification of father attributes to the triumph of child - bearing rights between father and mother as well as the clarification of father＇s economic position. So, identifying father＇s identity is the necessity of cultural and economic development.
