中文摘要：基于区域滨海城市旅游竞争力比较的视野,运用主成分分析法综合测度与分析茂名市作为典型边缘型滨海城市旅游竞争力地位与水平,并据此提出了该边缘型滨海城市旅游竞争力提升的相关建议。研究结果表明:(1)广东区域滨海城市旅游竞争力水平呈现“核心—边缘”结构特征,旅游竞争力“较强型”属于区域滨海旅游核心层,旅游竞争力“一般型”与“较弱型”属于区域滨海旅游边缘层;(2)茂名市旅游综合竞争力值为-0.3696,排名广东省第七,属于旅游竞争力“一般型”的广东区域滨海旅游边缘层,边缘化特征显著;(3)旅游经济发展水平和城市旅游基础设施是茂名市该边缘型滨海城市旅游竞争力地位与水平的主要引致因素。

外文摘要：Based on the comparison of tourism competitiveness of regional coastal cities,this paper uses principal component analysis to comprehensively measure and analyze the tourism competitiveness of Maoming,a typical marginal coastal city.What s more,the paper explores the characteristics of the marginalized structure of the level of tourism competitiveness and the factors causing it,and then puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the tourism competitiveness of marginal coastal cities.The research result indicates that:(1)The“core-edge”characteristic of the tourism competitiveness level circle of 9 typical coastal cities in Guangdong Province are remarkable.The“stronger-type”tourism competitiveness belongs to the core layer of regional coastal tourism.The“average-type”and“weaker-type”tourism competitiveness belong to the marginal layer of regional coastal tourism.(2)Maoming City scoring-0.3696 ranks seventh in Guangdong in terms of tourism competitiveness,and belongs to the“average-type”tourism competitiveness of coastal tourism marginal layer.(3)The levels of tourism economic development and urban tourism infrastructure are the main factors leading to the marginalization of the tourism competitiveness level of the Maoming city.
