外文摘要：Through a discussion about the five aspects of English and Chinese passive forms（pragmatic requirements,agent,clause linking function,special sentence patterns or usages and cognitive backgrounds）,this article analyses the following issues： in what contexts to what extent the two passive forms are intertranslatable as well as what the functional factors are which decide the proportions of the intertranslatability.
