外文摘要:Efficient nitrogen (N) management is a key determinant of production stability and environmental performance in commercial biofloc technology (BFT) systems for shrimp aquaculture. Here, we elucidated microbial N-cycling mechanisms by integrating N mass balance with metagenomics in a commercial-scale (30 m(3)) BFT system with Penaeus vannamei production for 56 days. The system achieved robust production (7.87 kg m(-3) yield, 94.3% survival) and 39.6% feed N utilization efficiency. The N balance was characterized by two main nitrogen sinks: heterotrophic assimilation converted 15.0% of input N into harvestable bioflocs, while an apparent nitrogen loss of 26.6% was observed, likely driven by simultaneous nitrification-denitrification (SND). Microbial analysis revealed that despite significant temporal taxonomic turnover (ANOSIM, r = 0.889), the abundance of core Ncycling genes remained highly stable, indicating functional redundancy that buffers N-removal against community shifts. Nitrosomonas was identified as a key bacterial group associated with a highly diverse functional gene repertoire. Under the evaluated C/N ratio of 12, a balance between autotrophic and heterotrophic bacteria was observed, facilitating efficient SND and biofloc production. Consequently, this process theoretically promotes alkalinity recovery and reduces pH buffering costs. This research provides a mechanistic and practical basis for scaling up biofloc technology in sustainable, resource-efficient intensive Penaeus vannamei production.
