中文摘要：统计天气预报是大气科学及应用气象学专业中的一门核心课程,课程理论性较强。该文基于广东海洋大学统计天气预报课程以及学期初数学基础测试的相关数据进行统计研究,结果显示,学生的数学理论基础在本课程的学习中起着至关重要的作用。此外,数学基础测试成绩还可以帮助教师提前预测并关注到一部分学习困难的学生,为提高教学质量提供方向。

外文摘要：Statistical Weather Forecasting is a core and theoretical course in the major of atmospheric science and applied meteorology. Based on a Statistical Weather Forecast lesson at Guangdong Ocean University and related statistics of the mathematics foundation test at the beginning of the semester, results show that students’ mathematical theoretical foundation plays a vital role in the study of this course. In addition, the mathematics foundation test can also help teachers predict some potential at-risk students in advance, and provide directions for improving the quality of teaching.
