外文摘要：　There are a lot of descriptions about funeral in Unofficial History of the Scholars.In the paper,the descriptions about funerals were analyzed from the influence of folk custom to the creation of nouels and the relations between the folk custom and the social life.The value of describing funeral custom lies in revealing absence of traditional humane spirit in Ming and Qing Dynasty by unique technique of expression formed by strong sad atmosphere. And it also reflects the wasteful general mood of society and the poor social reality in the lower strata in this period.
