【Objective】To analyze the spatial distribution changes in the health and coverage status of mangrove vegetation in Yingluo Bay from 2013 to 2023and provide scientific evidence for the management of mangroves.【Method】Using Landsat imagery data, calculate the forest cover(FVC)and normalized vegetation index(NDVI)of Yingluo Bay mangroves from 2013 to 2023.Combine this with Hurst index analysis to quantify the extent to which past changes influence future changes in time series data, thereby evaluating the dynamic changes in mangrove vegetation health and coverage.【Result and Conclusion】The study used univariate linear regression and an F-test to categorize changes in the NDVI and FVC of Yingluo Bay's mangroves. Results showed that 47%of the area saw a significant increase in NDVI,45%remained stable, and 8%experienced a significant decrease. For FVC,17%of the area had a significant increase,74%remained stable, and 3%saw a significant decrease. Most mangrove areas in Yingluo Bay improved or stayed stable from 2013 to 2023,except for some parts of the southeast, southwest, and north coasts.Hurst exponent analysis revealed that for NDVI,69%of the area had an increasing?sustained trend,22%an increasing?antisustained trend, and 6%a decreasing?sustained trend. For FVC,55%of the area showed an increasing?sustained trend,15%an increasing?antisustained trend,15%a decreasing?antisustained trend, and 9%a decreasing?sustained trend. This indicates that most mangrove areas have sustained improving trends in health and vegetation cover. However, some southeast and southwest coast areas face sustained degradation risks. The north coast's vegetation cover has a decreasing?antisustained trend,so its decline won't last long.
