中文摘要：运用1996-2009年面板数据,构建中国各地区的面板数据模型,研究中国经济增长与公共图书馆发展之间的长期均衡关系,并基于面板误差修正模型来分析经济增长对公共图书馆财政投入影响的短期调节效应。结果表明:GDP对公共图书馆财政投入影响的长期弹性和短期弹性在我国各地区都是正值,说明经济增长能显著增加公共图书馆财政投入,进而促进公共图书馆的发展,政府应该正确认识和重视公共图书馆的作用。最后,给出了支持公共图书馆发展的建议。

外文摘要：In this paper, we develop panel data models for various regions of China based on panel data in Chi- na from 1996 to 2009. We examine the relationship long-run equilibrium between China＇s economic growth and public library development. We adopt a panel error correction approach to explore the short-term adjustment effect of influence on economic growth to financial input in the public library. The results show that： both the long-run and the short-run elasticity of GDP are positive in any area of China, which shows that economic growth can significantly increase the financial input in public libraries, thus can promote the development of public libraries; the government should know correctly and pay more attention to the effect of public libraries. Finally, we put forward a suggestion to support the development of public libraries.
