中文摘要：文章针对过去闻一多《死水》研究中各执一端只看到其“金银盾”一面的偏颇,认为该诗是唯美、颓废和爱国的统一。作家纵向继承中国古典诗词精髓的同时又横向借鉴西方现代主义表现方式,用象征手法通过浓丽繁密而具体的意象表现出深邃而隐幽的主题。因为该诗是作家在其深厚艺术功力的基础上建立在现实的人生底基石上的生命表现,这才使之在中国现代诗歌史上具有极高地位。因此,我们这才明白那些虽然也具“三美”但却缺乏艺术功力的诗作为何终被文学史遗忘。

外文摘要：This article claims that Wen Yiduo's Poem Dead Water is the unity of aestheticism, decadent sentiments and patriotic feeling. It also points out that this poem also holds an important position in Chinese modern poetic history because it reflects the author’s life based on not only his outstanding artistic skills but also realistic life cornerstone.
