中文摘要：分析《中国图书馆分类法》第5版专类复分表编码位数不一致问题,以便为其改版提供参考。调查发现,自然科学类目专类复分表中复分号一律冠“0”的做法,缘于“一般性问题”类目不用于分类文献的规定,但这种规定违反了层累制编码原理和复分加“0”规则,也与实际情况不符。根据“一般性问题”类目设置的变通、类目注释、分类原则等事实,“一般性问题”类目是可以用于分类文献的类目,故专类复分表宜采用1位数编码,使其与社会科学类目专类复分表编码相一致。

外文摘要：This paper analyzes the inconsistency of coding digits in the special subdivided table in Chinese Library Classification(fifth edition),so as to provide reference for the revision of CLC.The investigation found that the practice of the subdivided categories all placing“0”in the special subdivided table of natural science in CLC fifth edition is due to the provision that the category of“general issues”is not used to classify documents,but this provision violates the principle of hierarchical coding and the rule of subdivided placing“0”,which is also inconsistent with the actual situation.According to the flexibility,category annotation and classification principles of the category“general issues”,the category of“general issues”is a category that can be used to classify documents,so the special subdivided table of natural science should adopt 1-digit code to make it consistent with the code of the special subdivided table of social sciences.
