中文摘要：乡绅、地主是宗法制乡土社会的掌权者,是维系上下关系的纽带,对乡村政治、经济、思想文化体系建构有绝对话语权,是乡土小说人物形象谱系的重要一翼。现代乡土书写中的乡绅、地主形象呈现出共性明显、个性不足的特征,尽管他们中也会有一些思想开明、体恤民心的面影,但普遍存在着的是自私狡猾、横行乡里的落后性,更是导致底层农民生存苦难的渊薮,预示着乡绅阶层是乡村新社会秩序的强大阻力,他们是革命理想主义乡土叙事逻辑中被否定的对象。现代乡土小说中的乡绅、地主形象折射出乡土社会的巨大变迁,以及乡土传统统治秩序在现代激烈革命中逐渐没落的必然命运。

外文摘要：The squire and the landlord are the power holders of the patriarchal clan system in the rural society,the link that maintains the relationship between the upper and lower levels,and they have an absolute say in the construction of the rural political,economic,ideological and cultural system,and they are an important wing of the genealogy of the characters in the local novels.Squire,the landlord’s image in the modern vernacular writing presents obvious,lack of personality characteristics,despite some of them will be open-minded,compassionate and id,but there is a cunning and selfish arbitrary unproductive,but lead to the origin of suffering,the underlying farmers survival gentry’s stratum herald is the country powerful resistance to the new social order,they are revolutionary idealism in the vernacular narrative logic is no object.Through the appearance of the image of the squire and the landlord,it reflects the great changes of the society and the inevitable fate of the traditional ruling order of the countryside in the modern fierce revolution.
