外文摘要:We report an angle-modulation surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor, designed with a five-layer Kretschmann prism-coupled configuration, for the specific detection of mercury ions. To simplify the calculation and obtain accurate results efficiently, we employ the transition matrix method instead of traditional Fresnel reflection law system. Due to the specific linkage among sulfhydryl group, Hg2+ and Au, we modify 1, 6-hexanedithiol on sensor chips by chemical self-assembly method. A silver/gold (Ag/Au) composite film is employed and optimized to excite SPR effect for higher sensitively detection. Experimental results show that the modified chip can increase the sensor's sensitivity by two orders of magnitude compared with using unmodified chips. A sensitivity of 1.25 x 10-2 degrees /ppm and a detection limit of 80 ppb for Hg2+ detection has been achieved. In mixed heavy metal ions aqueous medium, solutions containing Hg2+ causes a red shift of 0.79 degrees in the resonance angle, while that is only 0.235 degrees in solutions without Hg2+. The results prove that the 1, 6-hexanedithiol has a good selectivity in detection of Hg2+.
