中文摘要：闻一多因不能适应环境最先是由外转内,在学术领域艰难跋涉并取得巨大成就。但他在内外的道路上转了一圈,最终又由内转而向外批判古典文化和现实社会,敢于开方根治那病入膏肓的社会。他虽没有完成一部诗的史,却用生命完成一部史的诗。他这钻进去欲发扬光大但却刳其肠肚的学术研究征候,更值得深刻研究。对闻一多学术研究的征候也要反思,因为他后期的学术研究虽然向了善,但有时却失了真,背离了学术研究的宗旨。虽然我们不能诟病闻一多后期的立场坐标发生转变,因为他是站在人民立场为当时政治服务而对过去进行清算的。但闻一多从求真到求善的注重功利的研究,而非新的学术发现的现象,却给人以两个启示:第一是学术研究如何避免偏离其宗旨,即学术研究如何始终围绕求真的方向。第二是怎样为学术研究创造良好环境,使研究者不致偏离学术方向或宗旨而单纯求善。

外文摘要：Wen Yiduo's academic career shifted from the external studies of literature in regard to society to the internal studies of literature itself,and then shifted from the internal studies to the external studies again.Even though his academic achievements were great,his academic research was deviated from his original academic intention.In order to seek goodness in the service of the people and the society,Wen Yiduo betrayed the truth of academic research sometimes.Wen Yiduo's pragmatic attitude toward academic research should not be praised.The paper discusses the issues of how the academic research should be oriented on the truth seeking and how a sound academic environment should be established to ensure the researchers to stick to the original academic intention.
