中文摘要：对等理论在实践中的指导意义自不待言,但各家对翻译对等标准却不尽相同,对翻译偏离的容忍度也是不同的。然而,在语言等交际活动中都存在着"偏离",在翻译过程中偏离往往不可避免。尤其对于翻译这种跨语言的交际行为偏离有时是一种有目的的有意行为。文章从偏离的限度出发,以"翻译目的论"为理据,以海事翻译为实例,对"变译"进行研究。

外文摘要：It is the evidence that the theory of equivalence is instructive in the process of translation, but the criteria for equivalence varies according to the different schools and thus the tolerance of deviation differs, which causes the dilemmas for translators. As an interlingua communication, deviation, which is inevitable in translation, is an act on purpose. Some particular examples are analyzed from the maritime documents to determine the limitation of the deviation based on the ＂skopos theory＂.
