外文摘要：Sanguinolaria acuta Cai et Zhuang, shellfish mainly distributed in Jianjiang River,Wuchuan County, Guangdong Province, is considered as sea delicacy for it is fresh, tender and delicious. The annual yield can reach more than 5 million kilograms. Since 1990, due to over capture and water pollution, natural resource of this species almost become extinction. In July 1997, artificial rearing of Sanguinolaria acuta was studied by the authors and about 30 million seedlings (shell length 4mm) were gained in November, 1999. This is the first successful experiment.
