外文摘要：A good master of English preposition has long been an important item of TEFL activity. The meaning and semantic category of a preposition are not immutable and invarible, and its semantic category may have different types and features in different contexts. From the viewpoint of Linguistics, semantic category transfer of the preposition arises at the moment. English prepo- sitions have different types, so are semantic categories. As semantic category transfer of English preposition has its own rules and characteristics. A good master of semantic category transfer of English preposition will help people understand and use English prepositions better and more accurately.
