中文摘要：《复印报刊资料》(以下简称《资料》)是非网络环境下的产物。网络环境下,其功能已从学术研究的载体变为学术评价的工具。人们对《资料》特性的描述都是基于非网络环境得出的结论,但与事实不符。就《资料》本身而言,存在以下问题:纸本《资料》系列专题与电子《资料》系列专题的名称和数量不一致、对一稿多投的文献也转载、题名著录不完整、刊名变更频繁、停刊多、订价高、侵犯作者著作权等。中国人民大学书报资料中心应改变发展思路,在网络环境下求得生存和发展。

外文摘要：Xerox Newspaper and Journal Material is the product in the non-network environment.Under the network environment, its functions have become a tool of the academic evaluation from the carrier of the academic research. The description of its characteristics is concluded based on the non-network environment,but it is inconsistent with facts. On Xerox Newspaper and Journal Material itself, there are some problems as followings： series subjects in the paper Xerox Newspaper and Journal Material are disaccord in names and qualities with series subjects in the electronic Xerox Newspaper and Journal Matenal, reproducing multiple submission literatures,titles description is incomplete, titles change frequently, publications close much, price is high, infringement of copyright,and so on. Information Center for Social Science, RUC should change the development idea, try to survive and develop in the network environment.
